Meji Singh, Ph.D. Since 1991 he has been a Visiting Professor/Lecturer in Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is the President Emeritus and Chief Psychologist at Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health and Training Center, Concord, California. He was one of the founders (1964) of the Sikh Center of San Francisco Bay Area, El Sobrante Gurdwara. Since 1990 he has been teaching Gurbani (Sikh Scriptures) to children and youth at the Gurdwara.

He was the Founding Trustee and Secretary of the Sikn Foundation of North America, Redwood city, California (1966-74). Singh is a member of the Board of Directors of Inter-Faith Center at the Presidio in San Francisco. He is president of the Ik Onkar Peace Foundation.He was the Dean of the Rosebridge Graduate School of Integrative Psychology for ten years and the Assistant Director of The Center For Training In Community Psychiatry and Mental Health Administration at Berkeley for fourteen years. For 2 years he worked in a State Hospital and for 16 years in Community Mental Health Programs.

On the basis of his experience as a clinical psychologist and an organizational consultant, along with his study of Sikh scriptures, he has presented a Paradigm for Peace and Harmony. So far the evolution of human civilization is dominated by greed, power and violence. Now we have sufficient peaceful conflict resolution technology available to evolve our civilization and preserve the planet based on a paradigm of love, care and service of our fellow human beings.
